AI for K-12 Teachers

This program aims to familiarize participants with AI’s role in K-12 education and equip them with the know-how to harness AI as an asset in teaching and learning, rather than a detriment.

Throughout the program, attendees will explore the advantages of incorporating AI into the classroom, along with the potential risks it presents. Hands-on experience will be provided with various AI tools, including ChatGPT, Bard, Perplexity AI and more for language practice and simulated conversations, as well as AI-based assessment and feedback tools.

Moreover, participants will discover other valuable AI tools for generating lesson plans, developing lecture presentations, creating unique assessments, providing constructive feedback, and even recording asynchronous lectures.

Furthermore, the course will guide educators in creating a student contract that addresses the utilization of AI-generated content in assignments, fostering effective implementation within the classroom. Ethical considerations pertaining to AI adoption in K-12 education will also be thoroughly discussed.

Ultimately, participants will be able to assess the benefits of AI in education and make well-informed decisions on integrating it into their own teaching practices.
